1. if 虚拟三态（第 4 课的表，这里加深）

例句三连：

• If I were you, I would accept it.（对现在）
• If she had studied harder, she would have passed.（对过去）
• If it should rain tomorrow, we would cancel the trip.（对将来）

2. 省略 if 的倒装形式（高频！）

if 从句里有 were / had / should 时，可省略 if 并把它们提前：

• Were I you, I would accept it.（= If I were you）
• Had she studied harder, she would have passed.（= If she had studied）
• Should it rain tomorrow, we would cancel.

识别信号：句首出现 Were / Had / Should + 主语（无 if）→ 虚拟倒装，还原成 if 句再判断。

3. wish 后的虚拟（愿望与事实相反）

同款：if only（要是……就好了）用法与 wish 完全一致。

4. suggest 系列的 (should) do

这些词后的从句用 (should) + 动词原形（should 可省）：

一坚持、二命令、三建议、四要求：insist（坚持要求）、order / command、suggest / propose / advise、demand / require / request / ask

• The doctor suggested that he (should) stay in bed.
• She demanded that the work (should) be done at once.

⚠️ 大坑：insist 表示「坚持认为（事实）」时不虚拟！

He insisted that he was innocent.（坚持认为=陈述事实→不虚拟） He insisted that she (should) go with him.（坚持要求→虚拟）

同理 suggest 表示「表明、暗示」时不虚拟：

Her smile suggested that she was satisfied.（暗示）

5. would rather 与 It’s time

• would rather + 过去式（宁愿现在/将来）：I would rather you came tomorrow.
• would rather + had done（宁愿过去）：I would rather you hadn’t told him.
• It’s (high) time that + did / should do：It’s high time that we went / should go to bed.

6. 含蓄条件句（没有 if 的虚拟）

介词短语暗含条件：without / but for（要不是）→ 主句用 would have done：

Without your help, I would have failed.（= If you hadn’t helped me） But for the rain, we would have arrived earlier.
